Selling Real Estate Is Like Fishing Sometimes – Keep The Lines In The Water

So yesterday was a big day for us. Many of our listed properties in Naples, Florida, some on the market for a few months, all started receiving offers. Why now? Sometimes I think it is a bit like fishing – you just have to keep the lines in the water – you know advertise, keep the website going, open houses, push ideas into the buyer pool – keep casting and working and selling and the fish will come.
There really is no good reason for the timing of yesterday’s big day. Let’s think about it – a Wednesday. Well for us weekends seem to be better as folks have time to get out and look. A beautiful sunny day (not that we have many rainy days this time of year) so why aren’t these folks at the beach?
Some of the activity could be Easter week. The season is drawing to a close and some buyers want to make offers before they head back up north. On the same hand however this is peak spring break time so you would think family time would come first.
So what have we learned? You just have to keep marketing and selling your listings all of the time. You cannot believe business is going to line up on weekends, or rainy days, or special times of the year. Find your self a Realtor with a continuous marketing approach – one who will listen – one who is at it all the time for you.
Anyway, nice day in real estate yesterday. Just need to keep at it all the time.
