Last summer was so strong people started talking about the end of “seasonality” in Naples real estate with summer sales holding up well. What is the story this year? So far not bad.
One month does not a trend make but let’s see how we are doing in June compared to last year. According to the Sunshine MLS, last year 1,297 properties were sold in the four weeks ending 6/23/2011. A look at this year, 1,190 properties were sold – not bad. If this holds up again realtors are going to be even more on their toes for real estate activity in Naples’ summer months.
Factors contributing to these figures could be:
1) a rebounding Naples real estate market
2) record low interest rates
3) increases in international tourists in the summer months
4) a view US real estate may be a “safe haven” for international buyers
What ever the reason, Naples real estate, even in the summer, seems to be going along ok.
